What is the ABS braking system and what are its advantages?

ABS Braking System
The ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) is a safety feature that prevents the wheels from locking up, helping the driver maintain steering control during sudden braking. It prevents wheel lock-up and loss of stability by rapidly applying and releasing brake pressure in pulses, allowing the wheels to keep rotating and the vehicle to steer around obstacles.

Vehicles with ABS
Cars equipped with ABS allow the driver to press the brake pedal fully until the car comes to a complete stop, while still being able to steer and avoid collisions with ease. However, when braking, the driver must keep the foot firmly on the pedal—do not release or pump the brakes.

Vehicles without ABS
In emergency situations, drivers tend to press the brake pedal forcefully. For vehicles without ABS, this may cause the wheels to lock, making it harder to control and steer the vehicle. In this case, braking technique and skill are required to avoid accidents.
