Things You Should Know! The Importance of Road Lane Markings

📌 Short Broken Lines
When you see short dashed lines like this, you’re allowed to change lanes and overtake other vehicles if it’s safe to do so.

📌 Long Broken Lines
These longer dashed lines are a warning that there’s an upcoming intersection or a no-passing zone. You may cross the lines, but extra caution is required.

📌 Solid Line
If you see a solid line on the road, overtaking or crossing the line is strictly prohibited.

📌 Double Line (One Broken, One Solid)
When you see this marking, vehicles on the side of the broken line are allowed to cross or overtake, but those on the solid line side are not allowed to cross or overtake.
