
Motion sickness occurs when the balance system in our body functions improperly. This imbalance may result from excessive stimulation, such as riding in a vehicle that sways too much or experiencing prolonged motion.
How to prevent motion sickness:
- Sit in the front seat of the car.
- Avoid reading books or using a mobile phone while traveling.
- Eat sour fruits to refresh your body.
- Take motion sickness medication 30 minutes to 1 hour before traveling.
Additional tips:
- Avoid traveling on an empty stomach.
- Do not eat until you feel overly full.
- Wearing sunglasses or closing your eyes may help reduce motion sickness.
- Inhalers, herbal lozenges, or balms can also help.
